Message Text: Google is expected to unveil on Wednesday an online music download store featuring songs Universal, Sony and the recently sold EMI, at an event Wednesday in Los Angeles, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.

Warner Music Group is still in negotiations with Google according to sources.

The Google Music store is positioned to compete with Apple's dominant iTunes and other digital music services.

Google's store will sell songs for around $1 apiece, the Journal reported. Google is also expected to connect the new store with its Google+ social network, possibly by allowing users who buy songs to share some of them for listening only with their fellows on the Google+.

Google's official announcement is expected on an Wednesday evening event.

Currently, Google is offering a music service called Music Beta, which offers free storage for 20,000 digital music files and synchronization between mobile devices and PCs.
