Message Text: Intel today released a new Sandy Bridge CPU, the Core i7-2700K. Compared to the 2600K processor, the new 2700K has some extra 100MHz, with a default frequency set at 3.5GHz and up to 3.9GHz with Turbo.

The 2700K is a quad-core CPU with 8MB L3 cache and Hyper-Threading (eight threads) and 8MB L3 cache. Of course the CPU multiplier is unlocked, allowing easy overclocking. The 2700K is sold for $332 (1000 units)

Intel has also reduced the prices of the i3-2120 (3M cache, 2 Cores, 4 Threads, 3.30 GHz 32nm), Pentium G850 (3M cache, 2 Cores, 2 Threads, 2.90 GHz, 32nm) and G630 (3M cache, 2 Cores, 2 Threads, 2.70 GHz, 32nm) processors. The new prices are $117, $75 and $64 respectively.
