 Asus To Launch Android Transformer Prime Tablet Powered By Nvidia's Kal-El Processor

Message Text: Asus offered a tease of its upcoming 10-inch Transformer Prime tablet, a model with an Nvidia quad-core processor and debuting formally on November 9.

Asus Chairman Jonney Shih unveiled an Android tablet today, a 10-inch model in the Transformer family that will come with Nvidia's quad-core Kal-El processor. The announcemenet was made at the All Things Digital AsiaD conference in Hong Kong.



The Transformer Prime promises to deliver "never-before-seen" levels of performance with low power consumption. The tablet is featuring an incredibly slim form factor, it is even thinner than its predecessor, and brandishes a metallic spun finish design for a comfortable grip.

The mobile dock has also been slimmed down and provides the user with a keyboard, touchpad and expandability options.

The tablet will be 8.3 millimeters thick and features USB and mini HDMI ports.

The first batch of Transformer Prime tablets will run on Android 3.2 before migrating to Android 4.0 by the end of 2011, Asus said. BR>
