After Google's failure to anticipate business interest in its new
Google+ social network, Facebook on Tuesday launched Faceboo for business, a website designed to serve corporate marketing needs.
Facebook
for Business offers companies information about how to create a
Facebook Page, claim their place and let people / customers check
in, make their web site more social by adding the Like button,
create targeted Ads and also set up sponsored stories that would
promote their products or services.
Facebook has gathered its currently available services in a single
web page in an effort attract more businesses at a time when
Google's corporate social offering has yet to debut.
On the other hand, Google has already a but also has a growing
enterprise business in the form of Google Apps. Facebook, as far as
companies are concerned, is still mostly a marketing service. |
