 Microsoft Posts Information Online About Social Networking Project

Message Text: Microsoft on Thursday published a landing page (socl.com) for a new social service named "Tulalip". The company soon pulled the page offline, leaving questions about possibly plans to enter the social networking market.

The page was discovered by Fusible.com The now-removed page described the service, saying that it would let you "Find what you need and Share what you know easier than ever," and its Minterface sported buttons to sign in with both Facebook and Twitter.

Microsoft has partnered with Facebook, integrating support for Facebook's services into Bing and Windows Live Messenger. The company has also built an extensive social networking platform for Windows Phones that integrates Facebook and Twitter.
