AMD today announced an investment in ViVu, a leader in enterprise-class desktop videoconferencing solutions.
ViVu is specialized in the delivery of HD-quality video content to some of today's most popular devices, through its patented MXTP technologies. ViVu is offering enterprise-class videoconferencing solutions and AMD's investment will provide ViVu with additional resources to help make these technology benefits available to enterprises and small businesses worldwide.
ViVu is developing a new generation of video applications. Among other projects, AMD and ViVu are collaborating on ViVu's VuRoom videoconferencing solution and a prototype wireless display technology. The prototype wireless display technology, based on industry standards such as 802.11 wireless technology, enables real-time streaming of a 1080p HD video wirelessly from an AMD-powered notebook PC to one or more network-connected display devices, such as flat panel TVs, tablets or notebooks, without requiring any additional hardware.
ViVu will present a technical presentation and technology demo at the AMD Fusion Developer Summit, to be held June 13-16 in Bellevue, Washington. |
