Message Text: Google has started rolling out the +1 button across third-party web sites, allowing users to recommend content to their friends and contacts directly from Google search results and ads.

Google's move comes just a day after Twitter introduced a "Follow" button for third-party sites.

Google has already partnered with a few sites where the +1 buttons will figure in the near future. Google is also introducing the buttons on its own sites such as Android Market, Blogger, YouTube, and Product Search.

Pressing the +1 or Like button enables people to recommend an article, photo, product, video, song or some other kind of material to their online connections.

"With a single click you can recommend that raincoat, news article or favorite sci-fi movie to friends, contacts and the rest of the world. The next time your connections search, they could see your +1's directly in their search results, helping them find your recommendations when they're most useful," Google said on its blog. "

Google has also released the +1 button code for webmaster who want to impllement the +1 button to their web sites.
