Today's rumor comes from a chinese web site, which claims that it has spotted another Nvidia entry-level GPU identified as a Radeon GT 520.
The
Zol
web site reported that the GT 520 would be based on the new GF119 core and it will feature only 48 processing cores and a modest 64-bit memory bus. The factory design should have a 810MHz main clock speed with 1.8GHz memory, the web site claims.
This could be Nvidia's answer to the recently released
Radeon HD 6450
card by AMD, which retails for about $55 and has been designed as an alternative to Intel's Sandy Bridge onboard graphics.
Nvidia has not commented on the release of the new card.
