 LG Thrill 3D And G2x Smartphones Available Soon

Message Text: LG Mobile Phones today announced the glasses-free 3D Thrill 4G and the NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor G2x smartphones, to be available exclusively at AT&T and T-Mobile's stores respectively.

The LG Thrill 4G phone is equipped with dual-core/dual-channel 1 GHz RAM, it is based on the Android platform and will feature feature glasses-free 3D view, shoot and share technology.

It features a 4.3 inch touch screen, which is actually a 3D LCD display, dual 5MP stereoscopic 3D cameras and microSD card. HDMI-out and DLNA features offer wireless content streaming options.

"LG is very excited to offer the LG Thrill 4G to the next generation of thrill seekers. We have taken mobile phone technology to the next level with another first to market feature, this time being 3D capabilities," said Tim O'Brien, vice president of marketing for LG Mobile Phones. "This device elevates everyday tasks and entertainment to a new dimension of smartphone performance, giving LG Thrill 4G an edge over other devices in the emerging superphone category."

The LG Thrill 4G will be available exclusively in the U.S. by AT&T in the coming months.



Coming later this Spring is also the G2x with Google by LG. The 4G smartphone is powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor (1GHz) and an HDMI output.

Available this spring exclusively by T-Mobile, the smartphone features a 4-inch touch screen display and preloaded content, such as Need For Speed SHIFT HD.

In addition, the G2x will include NVIDIA's Tegra Zone application, which provides access to games optimized for the Tegra 2's dual-core architecture.

The G2x comes equipped with an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and autofocus, and a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera paired with the preloaded T-Mobile Video Chat application powered by Qik. It has 1080p high-definition (HD) video recorder and DLNA compatibility and it is powered by a stock version of the Android 2.2 operating system.

The G2x also features smartphone essentials such as access to personal and work e-mail, including support for Microsoft Exchange e-mail, contacts and calendar, social networking, and instant messaging. The G2x also includes Swype for easy text input, 8GB of internal memory with a microSD card slot with support for expandable memory up to 32GB, Stereo Bluetooth 2.1, built-in 3.5mm headphone jack, Adobe Flash?Player support and a music player.

The T-Mobile G2x with Google is expected to be available in the U.S. later this spring at T-Mobile retail stores and online at http://www.t-mobile.com.
