Message Text: After the successful attacks on Safari and Internet Explorer 8 on Wednesday, the iPhone 4 and then the BlackBerry Torch 9800 were successfully exploited at the second day of Pwn2Own 2011 security competition.

The iPhone 4 was hacked by Charlie Miller working with Dion Blazakis. By taking advantage of a flaw in its Mobile Safari Web browser, iPhone 4 was compromised simply by a specific web site, which allowed Miller to run exploit code and access the phone's address book. The hacked iPhone 4 ran iOS 4.2.1 and not the latest iOS 4.3, although the same security flaw was also reportedly found in the newest version of Apple's operating system.

Another team hacked the BlackBerry OS 6.0.0.246 running on a BlackBerry Torch 9800. Again, the security of BlackBerry's new WebKit-based browser was weak enough to allow for compromising the device.

Firefox, Android and Windows Phone 7 have not yet been compromised, mainly due to the lack of interest so far among the competitors.
