A leaked NVIDIA roadmap reveals that the Nvidia is working on the
Tegra 2 3D and the Tegra 3 chips for mobiles and tablets, both
scheduled for release later this year.
According to the document, the Tegra 2 3D will be released sometime
this Spring and will be a 3D version of the currently available Tegra
2, powered by 1.2GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A9 processors. Nvidia
plans to release two vresions of the chip for both tablets (T25) and
phones (AP25.)
Currenty, we have not heard and plans for release of a 3D-enabled
tablet, although rumors hint of an upcoming 3D version of the
Android-based G-slate tablet by LG.
The Tegra 3 includes an 1.5GHz quad-core Cortex A9 processor, 3x
faster graphics than Tegra 2, support for Blu-ray and 1900x1200
output.
The smartphone version of the Tegra 3 will come in quad- and
dual-core flavors, and will support a lower display resolution
(1366x768). |
