 Intel Introduces New Mobile Processors, Updates Pricing

Message Text: Intel updated its mobile CPU price list on February 26 and also added new models at its the Core i5 and i7 lineup.

The processor update for mobile computers includes the i5-580M (3M L2 cache, 2 Cores, 4 Threads, 2.66 GHz) priced at $266 and the i5-560M (3M L2 cache, 2 Cores, 4 Threads, 2.66 GHz) priced at $225. Both processors include Intel's HD graphics cores.

Intel also added at its mobile Core i7 chips series the 2.80GHz i7-640M (4M L2 cache, 2 Cores, 4 Threads, 2.80 GHz) priced at $346, the 2.26GHz Core i7-660LM (4M L2 cache, 2 Cores, 4 Threads, 2.26 GHz 32nm) priced at $346 and the 1.46GHz i7-680UM (4M L2 cache, 2 Cores, 4 Threads, 1.46 GHz 32nm) processor for ultramobile devices such as tablets, available for $317.

Intel also lists new mobile Celeron processors. These are the the P4600 (2M L2 cache, 2 Cores, 2 Threads, 2.00 GHz 32nm) and T3500 (1M L2 cache, 2 Cores, 2 Threads, 2.10 GHz 800 Mhz FSB 45nm), priced at $86 and $80, respectively.
