Message Text: Intel added the Core i5-680 (3.60GHz) and the Pentium E5500 (2.80GHz) CPUs to its processor price list for OEM.

Prices for the ne CPUs are $294 and $75 respectively (1Ku tray units).

The new Intel Core i5-680 is dual-core CPU clocked at 3.60GHz, which 140MHz higher than its predecessor, the Core i5-670, while maintaining almost the same price. In addition, the new chip has been manufactured using the 32nm process, it has 4MB L3 cache and supports Hyper-Threading.

The new Pentium E5500 (2.80GHz) dual-core CPU is the company's faster Pentium chip among those still supporting an 800 MHz FSB. The 45nm CPU features a faster clock speed by 100MHz compared to the previous E5400 (2.70GHz) CPU, and its 1Ku price is just $1 higher than the Pentium E6300 (2M L2 cache, 2 cores, 2.80GHz, 1066MHz FSB) as well as the Pentium E6500 (2M L2 cache, 2 cores, 2.93GHz, 1066MHz FSB).
