 NU Unveils New Slim Blu-ray Writer

Message Text: NU Inc has announced its latest external Blu-Ray writer, EBR240.

The company claims that the new drive is the slimmest portable Blue-Ray writer with USB bus power support in the world, offering a maximum recording and burning speed up to BD-R 6X and BD-RE 2X.

The drive weighs 380g with and its size is 155 x 141 x 18mm (WxHxD). It can be powered through an USB cable from the laptop instead of a traditional power adapter. The EBR240 supports dual layer burning on storage and backup on BD or BD-RE disc. In addition, the software supports recording and playback on DVDs and CDs



SmoothLink Buffer Under-run Prevention technology prevents buffer under-run errors and secures stability when writing. Furthermore, it can automatically adjust the writing speed to minimize disc error when using poor quality media during high-speed recording.

The company also announced the release of a portable Slim SuperMulti Burner which supports all kinds of CD / DVD formats. The ESW 870 features a sleek fashionable design, Super Link Buffer Under-run Prevention and the Intelligent Writing Speed Adjustment technologies.

The ESW870 also offers DVD 8X, CD 24X writing and reading speed. With USB2.0 bus power support , this plug and play user friendly interface makes it a perfect solution for users who are looking for a compact and trendy portable DVD burner.

Lastly, ESW 870 model provides Intelligent Human-base Mechanism that allows immediate RMA service, easy to assemble and repair by yourself. NU also provides a 3-yeas limited warranty for the DVD writer.
