Samsung Showcases 1,000 ANSI Lumen LED Data Projector, Desktop Video Conferencing Monitors and Its First E-Book Devices At ISE 2010

Samsung will be showcasing its e-Book readers, its latest range of network and HD V2oIP monitors as we ll as its latest LED data projectors at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2010.
Samsung will be showcasing its latest range of monitors which feature the Teradici PC-over-IP (PCoIP) technology and VMware View 4, designed to meet enterprise customers? need for zero client monitors in the desktop virtualization market.
Samsung's latest all-in-one PCoIP monitors, the NC190 and NC240, support 3D CAD graphics that outperform traditional Thin Clients in a server-based computing environment. Both boast PC-over-IP technology implemented alongside industry development organizations, Teradici and VMware.
Both the NC190 and the NC240 are PCoIP zero client displays that provide secure access to the remote computer or VMware View 4 virtual desktops without the need for an external PC. Built-in security means that the likelihood of information leakage is extremely low, making them highly attractive to financial institutions, government and military, IT developers and CAD/CAM firms that demand high levels of security.
Using these new monitors, administrators can manage access to a PCoIP-enabled host PC which can be located in the datacenter, preventing inconveniences associated with physical PC access.
In addition, these plug-and-play zero client monitors have no CPU, operating system, or device drivers. This helps reduce maintenance costs as software and anti-virus applications installed on the server extend to the user's desktop.
The VC240, a high definition LCD monitor, combines Radvision?s video conferencing system. VC240 users can share their data with others watching the same screen. Additionally, the monitor offers access to the video conferencing system without a PC. It also supports voice communications with another V2oIP terminal or a fixed-line phone as well as video communications with a 3G network-based mobile phone. Moreover, the monitor supports conference calls using these connections. Users can create a virtual conference environment using this monitor, which is also compatible with existing virtual conference solutions from other companies.

Samsung will also be showcasing its LED data projectors - the 30 ANSI lumen pico-projector (Samsung H03) and the 1,000 ANSI lumen LED-based data projector (Samsung SP-F10M).
Showcased at CES 2010, the tiny palm-sized Samsung H03 projector gives professional and personal users a portable means of projecting images. Weighing less than 200 grams, it is capable of running for up to two hours without recharge, enough to watch a full-length movie or use during a meeting.
The H03 supports Microsoft Office and PDF formats for display without accessories, meaning users can confidently open PDF or Microsoft Office files. Presenters can deliver their information in environments of varying brightness with the projector's 30 ANSI lumens. Despite its ultra-small size, the device supports connectivity to USB, PC and composites, as well as extensibility for incorporated memory and microSD cards. It requires very little maintenance; the projector?s LED lamp does not require replacement, consumes less power and guarantees a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours.
ISE 2010 visitors will be able to see the industry's first LED data projector with 1,000 ANSI lumens. Compared with existing LED projectors - most of which are rated at 200 ANSI lumens - Samsung's new LED projector allows users to deliver a presentation and view a much brighter display, supporting easier reading conditions and less eye-strain. The SP-F10M has an LED light source that guarantees a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours, equivalent to 20 years, based on four hours of use per day, with no need for lamp replacement.
With the PC-free File Viewer feature users can present Microsoft Office and PDF files in their native file format via a USB port.
The LED also maintains its brightness compared to other projectors that lose up to 50 percent over the life of the bulb. The greater color intensity and wide color gamut allows for a more flexible projector, which can be used on a blackboard or green board, in addition to whiteboards and screens, thereby opening it up to educational and governmental environments.
The reduced decibel level and power-up time provided by the LED light source also add to the appeal of the SP-F10M.
At the same event, Samsung will be showcasing its e-Book readers, the E6 and E101.
The Samsung E6 and E101 feature a built-in electromagnetic resonance (EMR) stylus pen that allows users to annotate their reading selections, calendars and notes unlike other e-Books. This dedicated pen prevents mistypes caused by hands and other objects that may graze the screen's surface. A variety of pen and eraser thicknesses make the Samsung e-Book devices perfect for drawing and writing. The E101 goes even further with additional functions, such as calligraphy and editing capabilities (cut, copy and paste) with the stylus pressure sensitivity feature.
The Samsung E6 and E101 e-Books are equipped with an e-paper display similar to real paper to reduce eye fatigue. The global e-Book formats ePub, PDF and TXT are supported by default, and built-in dictionaries can be used just by touching the words with the stylus.
Samsung e-Book users can also listen to music while reading a book with the devices' MP3 player. Furthermore, Samsung?s "Text-to-Speech" engine with the MP3 player functionality can read a book aloud with accurate pronunciations for users who are driving or in noisy environments.
Samsung?s e-Book devices are equipped for wireless connectivity as well. Wi-Fi 802.11b/g allows users to download content such as books and newspapers from a server wirelessly, as well as share content with other devices.
