Samsung Showcases LED Display Products at CES

Samsung is promoting its latest LED display products at CES in Las Vegas, including a lineup of LED monitors, LED Digital Photo Frames LED projectors and 3D LED backlit televisions.
Samsung upgraded the design and the resolution of its previous XL2370 LED monitor and showcases the new ultra-slim PX2370. The sleek LED monitor features a transparent TV stand neck with the concept of 'Floating Design'. Samsung's "Magic Lux" technology automatically detects the brightness around the monitor and adjusts it accordingly. The PX2370 also displays the 100% of the existing sRGB colors, while it can save about 40 percent of power compared to previous models, making it more eco-friendly. "Magic Angle" is also responsible for the expanded viewing angle of the new LED model. The PX2370 supports mega dynamic contrast ratio, 2ms response time, full HD resolution and 16:9 wide aspect ratio.The PX2370 will be available in April from Samsung resellers at a price of $369.

The Korean company will also showcase a LED Large Format Display (LFD), mainly used as an information display panel installed in public places (airports, shopping malls). The company will offer a 46" (116cm, model 460EXn) and a 56" (139cm, model 550EXn) version of the LFD, which are 70% slimmer than the currently available displays of this size. The 46" model weigh just 15kg, Samsung said. With built-in PC features such as 40GB HDD and a network module, the panels can be connected with other monitors using Samsung's "MagicInfo" content management software.
Samsung will also have on display the first LED data projector featuring a brightness of 1000 ANSI lumens (Model: SP-F10M).
A low-power LED lamp has a lifetime of more than 30,000 hours and thus it can be used four hours per day for virtually 20 years without need for replacement, Samsung said. Most of the currently available LED projectors are featuring a brightness of
200 ANSI lumens. The projector also offers a USB port and a file viewer for displaying Office or PDF files without a PC connection.

Samsung also showcases a bunch of OLED Digital Photo Frame (700Z), as well as 2 Wireless Capable e-Books with either a 6".

With built-in Bluetooth 2.0 capabilities, users are able to transfer photos or videos directly to the photo frame and enjoy music through a Bluetooth headset. The also 700Z comes with 4GB of memory.
Samsung's "3D Cube" is also a main attraction at te company's booth at CES. It is a massive video screen consisting of 36 55-inch 3D LED backlit televisions that intend to provide visitors with a 3D experience. Aside from the 3D LED-backlit televisions, Samsung is also displaying 3D televisions with regular LCD screens and plasma displays.
The company is focused on introducing stereoscopic 3D into its LED-backlit television models. However, it's debatable whether 3D television is ready for prime time, as the industry has yet to sort out incompatible approaches from competing technologies and has failed to provide a more comfortable alternative to forcing everyone to wear 3D glasses. In addition, the products' outrageous prices and the lack of content at the moment aren't providing consumers with much motive to pay the premium for 3D televisions.
Samsung will also unveil eight new LED-backlit television models, sized from 19- to 65-inches, and also new products in regular LCD and plasma display televisions.
