AMD's 'Tigris' notebook platform is expected to appear at the Computex 2009 stage in June, according to Digitimes.com.
The Taiwanese web site claims that the new platform will include a 45nm dual-core Caspian CPU, RS880M chipsets, a 55nm or 40nm M9X GPU.
Tigris is expected to allow simultaneous operation of a system's integrated and discrete graphics chipsets, following the technology introduced with the currently availabel AMD Puma platform.
AMD is already offering the single-core Yukon platform for small netbooks and the new Tigris platform is expected appear in midsized machines with screen sizes above 14 inches.
Citing a report on the Chinese-language Commercial Times, Digitimes.com also said that AMD's notebook platform for 2010 may also appear at Computex. The platform features a 45nm quad-core Champlain processor and SB8xxM series chipset. DDR3 memory and USB 3.0 will be supported, while the GPU will be updated AMD's next-generation Manhattan series.
