Intel
has updated its CPU price list and added three new processors for desktops
: the Celeron E1500, Pentium E5300, and Core 2 Quad Q8300.
The Celeron E5100 dual-core CPU is priced at $53. It's based on the company's older 65nm architecture, and it runs at 2.2GHz with 512KB of shared L2 cache and an 800MHz FSB.
The Pentium E5300 offers a clock speed increase (100MHz) over the 2.5GHz Pentium E5200 for $86. Other than that, the E5300 share the same specifications with the E5200.
The new Core 2 Quad Q8300, has the same 45nm Penryn design, 4MB of L2 cache, and 1,333MHz front-side bus as the Q8200, but it runs at 2.5GHz instead of 2.33GHz and costs $224 in 1,000-unit quantities. |
