Message Text: Hong Kong-based site HKEPC reported today that AMD will release a mainstream Radeon HD 3830 next month, to compete Nvidia's GeForce 9600GT.

The new video card will be reportedly available at $120~130. It will be powered by a downgraded version of the RV670 GPU, and is expected to have a 128-bit memory interface, 320 stream processing units, 16 texture filtering units and 16 ROPs. The supoorted memory capacities will be up to 256MB.

AMD is also rumoured to cut the price of its Radeon HD 3870, 3850 and 3830 some time in the second quarter, in case the Radeon HD 3830 does not perform as it expected.
