T-Mobile International and Asus have agreed on a strategic partnership, the companies anounced at CeBIT.
Under the terms of the collaboration, the partners plan to bring to market attractive all-in-one packages comprising ASUS notebooks, high-speed mobile technology and attractively priced rate options.
T-Mobile and ASUS will offer the first package that marked rollout in the German market at the end of March 2008. With the EeePC 4G pioneering the first of a new generation of mobile Internet devices and 300 free WLAN hours at T-Mobile HotSpots included, users will enjoy mobile Internet at top speeds for EUR 299.
There are more than 8,000 HotSpot locations in Germany alone ? in hotels, restaurants, airports, stations and high-speed ICE trains.
In the course of the next few weeks, T-Mobile and ASUS will be offering further EeePC packages for mobile Internet. They will contain HSDPA/UMTS-enabled USB flash drives as well as options for pre- and postpaid customers. In Austria, the basic intuitive data device, which requires no PC skills, will also be available with HSDPA/UMTS from T Mobile in the near future. |
