 Denon Announces Blu-ray Player

Message Text: Japanese Denon detailed today its upcoming Blu-Ray player, the DVD-3800BD, scheduled to retail in Japan in late January 2008.

The DVD-3800BD Blu-Ray player comes with a Ver.1.3a HDMI output connector and outputs PCM bit streams audio signals such as Dolby Digital Plus (DD+), Dolby NR TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS-HD High Resolution Audio, as well as high-definition 1080p video signal.





The device supports BD, DVD video, DVD + R / RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW (VR mode), CD and CD-R/RW formats. DivX, MP3, WMA and JPEG reproduction are also included in the player's specifications.

The DVD-3800BD will be available in Japan at a suggested retail price of Yen 336,000 ($2,881.39 U.S.)
