Message Text: Fujitsu Limited today announced that the Tokyo District Court has upheld Fujitsu's claims of patent infringement in the lawsuit brought against Nanya Technology Corporation Japan.

The court found that DRAM products sold by Nanya Technology Corporation Japan infringe upon Fujitsu patent rights, and it granted an injunction against future import and sales of the infringing products, as well as compensation for past infringement.

"We are pleased that the court has confirmed our patent rights as well as granted our claims regarding infringement, injunction and damages," said Masanobu Katoh, Corporate Vice President and President of the Law & Intellectual Property Unit of Fujitsu Limited. "Fujitsu has been conducting research and development of semiconductors for many years and holds over 10,000 patents around the world in the field of electronic devices, including semiconductor memories. We consider these and other Fujitsu patents and intellectual property as important company assets. Accordingly, we vigorously pursue protection in the case of any infringement of our intellectual property rights."
