Message Text: In our latest article, we focus on the writing quality of Blu-Ray media and we present the first writing quality measurements of BD-R (Blu-Ray Recordable) and BD-RE (Blu-Ray Rewritable) discs.

The discs were burned with some of the most popular Blu-Ray recorders for PCs, currently available on the market. Measurements were conducted by DaTARIUS, the leader in optical disc inspection and quality matters.

The article also includes information about the signals related to the evaluation of the writing quality for the Blu-Ray disc format, the modulation and error correction used in the format, and of course, some writing quality results.

The results are quite interersting, since they arise a basic issue related to the sensitivity of the Blu-Ray disc to defects, and elevate the importance of careful handling of the Blu-Ray discs. If all these sound interesting to you, take some time and read this article.
