Message Text: Intel's IGP chipset G35, which is scheduled to launch in third quarter this year will not support DirectX 10 until 2008, Digitimes.com reports citing industry sources in Taiwan.

Intel had originally announced that its G35 chipset would offer support for DirectX 10 at launch time. However, Intel will reportedly not deliver the required DirectX 10 drivers until the first quarter of 2008, meaning that the G35 chipset will offer DirectX 10 support at the same time.

In addition, Intel's Centrino notebook platform (Santa Rosa) chipsets GM965 and GL960 are also expected to delay their support of DirectX 10 until first quarter of 2008.
