Message Text: Latest critics about the possibility of AMD to no longer participate in the semiconductor manufacturing have troubled the company's representatives in AMD Germany.

AMD responded to those rumors by openly claiming that the company won't exit fabrication, in an effort to deminimize costs. Furthermore AMD has never officially said that they are going completely fabless. "..Such a scenario is completely out of the question," AMD said in a statement made to the German web-site Golem.de.

According to AMD, Dresden remains the most innovative production and most important cornerstone in AMD's processor manufacturing. "AMD's investments in its Fab 30 plant in Dresden has brought a boost in the company's economics," the company added.
