Message Text: Corel today announced that Dolby Laboratorieshas approved its InterVideo WinDVD 8 HD DVD/Blu-ray software for Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital Plus playback.

Dolby TrueHD delivers studio-master-quality sound from HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc formats, while Dolby Digital Plus delivers up to 7.1 channels of surround sound for HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc players and home theater systems.

WinDVD 8 is available in two versions. The software includes the latest audio/video technologies, such as H.264 and VC1 support, can be integrated with the Media Center and UPnP home networking.

The WinDVD DVD/HD playback engine is available through Corel for licensing to OEMs, system integrators and other third parties. InterVideo WinDVD is marketed to consumers through Corel?s worldwide reseller organization and online at www.corel.com or www.intervideo.com.
