Message Text:
This application allows BlackBerry devices from Research In Motion to synchronize with Mac OS X computers.
Built-in support for Apple's Sync Services technology means that information can also be synchronized with other Sync Services-savvy applications, including Microsoft Entourage 2004 and Chronos' SOHO Organizer. Memos will sync with the included Mark/Space Notebook application, or alternatively with Microsoft Entourage or Bare Bones Software's Yojimbo.
Multimedia Support
BlackBerry Pearl owners can take advantage of the multimedia capabilities of The Missing Sync for BlackBerry, which can interface directly with Apple's iPhoto and iTunes applications.
Users will be able to choose iPhoto albums to be resized and downloaded to the Pearl for mobile viewing. Photos taken with the Pearl's camera can be automatically imported into iPhoto or a folder on the Mac.
The Missing Sync's iTunes plug-in will let users select playlists of unprotected music and podcasts to be downloaded to the Pearl's memory card. If the playlist changes, those changes will then be mirrored on the handset during the next sync.
Getting the Beta
To learn more about The Missing Sync for BlackBerry, or download the public beta, visit the Mark/Space web site.
The full version of this application is expected to ship in the first quarter of this year. It will cost $39.95
