Message Text: Fujitsu General launching a new range of 'full HD' 1080p capable digital flatscreen TVs.

The AVIAMO range comprises 50in and 65in plasma models and a 37in LCD TV, and also sees the debut of the third generation of Fujitsu?s renowned video processing technology ? AVM III.

Enhanced and finetuned for 1080p scaling, processing and display, AVM III will ensure that the AVIAMO models are masters of HD picture technology; they can capture and faithfully reproducing every pixel in 1080p HD material.

AVM III adds full 1080p processing to the proven interlacing and scaling capabilities of the original AVM II video processor and adds a number of new enhancements: Advanced Colour; 24p/30p Film Mode; and Contour Correction.

The AVIAMO models also scale in and standard definition and HD sources such as 720p, as well as processing the 1080i format, to the 'full HD' 1920 x 1080 resolution.

They boast two HDMI digital connectors and an array of input connections, and feature a digital TV tuner with electronic programme guide for standard digital broadcasts.

Finished in a sleek black piano gloss frame and integrated stand, complete with built-in stereo speakers, the sets were designed by influential Flatpanel supermodels Japanese designer Shigeru Uchida. The 37in model comes complete with the integrated stand, while it is optional on the 50in and 65in models to allow for wall-mounting.

The three models will be available in the North American and European market in the middle of March. Prices are expected to be about $18,000USD for the plasma model and $5,000USD for the 37in LCD TV.
