Fujitsu today announced the LifeBook P7230 notebook
Weighing under three pounds, the LifeBook P7230 notebook, available
in Leather Black or trendy Leather White, features an even slimmer
1.17-inch silhouette with a 10.6-inch LED lit widescreen display.
The LifeBook P7230 notebook comes with a built-in modular bay that
can accommodate a Dual-Layer Multi-Format DVD Writer or a second
battery delivering up to 9.75 hours of computing time. Battery life
is also extended with the Fujitsu ECO button, a proprietary
power-saving mode that with a single press reduces power
consumption for components, including disabling the optical disk
drive and reducing the display brightness.
The notebook is equipped with the energy-efficient Intel Core Solo
U1400 Ultra Low Voltage Processor and it is available loaded with
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic, Windows Vista Business or
Windows XP Professional.
Regarding the display, it comes with a LED-lit Crystal View XGA TFT
wide format display, built-in microphones and dual built-in stereo
speakers, along with a new optional built-in web-cam.
The LifeBook P7230 notebook also offers a variety of safeguards to
prevent unauthorized data access, including an integrated biometric
fingerprint swipe sensor and an embedded Trusted Platform Module
(TPM) that can store data file passwords and keys on a microchip.
Data is also protected by the Fujitsu Shock Sensor utility, an
accelerometer-based hard disk drive protection system that retracts
the hard drive head if a sudden movement or vibration is detected,
reducing the possibility of data loss. The sensor can also be set
to password-lock the system if it is touched, preventing
unauthorized access to the data.
Staying connected while mobile is easy with the integrated Intel
PRO/Wireless 3945b/g Network Connection or Atheros Super AG
Wireless LAN, modem, Gigabit Ethernet, and Bluetooth wireless
option. The LifeBook P7230 notebook offers two USB 2.0 ports, an
IEEE 1394 port, full-sized video port, modem, LAN and audio in and
out jacks. Accessing photo or video files is easy via a combination
of Secure Digital (SD), Memory Stick PRO and xD card slots.
The LifeBook P7230 notebook, with pricing starting at $1,6992 for a
base configuration, is available through the Fujitsu direct sales
force, website, channel partners and select retail outlet. |
