Victor Company of Japan - JVC - announced the release of the CU-VD20, a DVD writer compatible with the hard disk camcorder, Everio.
The CU-VD20 allows users to burn their movies straight onto DVD by simply connecting their burner to their Everio camcorder via a USB cable- no PC is required. The CU-VD20 also enables the burning of movie clips which are saved on the camcorder.
The CU-VD20 cannot be directly connected to a generic TV; but if it's connected to an Everio camcorder (or to an Everio's LCD monitor) users can watch a DVD. It can also be used as an external hard disk drive for PC's (as it's compatible with Windows XP).
The CU-VD20 works on conventional Everio models (GZ-MG: 505, 77, 67 and 47) and with their newer models (GZ-MG: 575,555,275,255 and 155). CU-VD20 will be available from the end of February 2007. |
