InterVideo announced free updates to InterVideo iVideoToGo Platinum and DVD Copy 5 Platinum.
The iPod conversion software allows users to convert video to high-quality resolutions supported by the latest-generation iPods. With the updates, users can enjoy high-quality playback directly on their iPod or a connected TV set.
"We're seeing a convergence between the small screen and the big screen," said Steve Ro, President of InterVideo. "People want to take their video with them on their mobile devices, but they also want to be able to share it on a big screen. Now users of InterVideo software can use their latest-generation iPods to play back great quality video on the go or on their TV sets."
The DVD Copy 5 Platinum and iVideoToGo Platinum iPod Update Packs provide high-resolution 640x480 (4:3 standard) and 640x352 (16:9 widescreen) video profiles supported by the latest 5th-generation iPods. Both MPEG-4 and H.264 video formats are supported, enabling over 85 hours of high-quality video on a 30GB iPod.
The update packs are available for Windows 2000 and XP systems. Support for Windows Vista will follow.
