Message Text: Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter Wins Two Prestigious BAFTA Video Games Awards

Ubisoft announce that it won two prestigious awards at BAFTA Video Games Awards for its critically acclaimed game Tom Clancys Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, which launched in March 2006.

One of the most heavily nominated games, appearing in eight categories, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter picked up awards in the following categories: Best Game and Technical Achievement.

Rob Cooper, managing director of Ubisoft UK said, "We are delighted to have picked up these awards for Ghost Recon, and we are especially delighted that it has been recognised and rewarded as the best game. Since its launch, it has been one of the most acclaimed and best selling next generation games on the market and it's wonderful to receive this endorsement from such a prestigious organisation as BAFTA."

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts is the UK's leading organisation dedicated to the recognition and promotion of excellence in the fields of the moving image. Renowned for its high profile Film & Television Awards ceremonies, the prestigious BAFTA mask has long been seen as a symbol of excellence. The Academy is now committed to the development of the contemporary art form of video games, and to lending equal weight to its British Academy Video Games Awards as that given to film and television.
