Silicon Image announced that MSI has selected Silicon Image's VastLane(TM) SiI1930 High-Definition Multimedia Interface(TM) (HDMI(TM)) transmitter for its new NX7600 GT Diamond Plus graphics card for PCs.
HDMI enables gaming enthusiasts to seamlessly connect desktop PCs to high definition (HD) displays in order to view premium HD digital content.
Designed for gaming enthusiasts, the NX7600 GT Diamond Plus is powered by the NVIDIA GeForce 7600GT GPU. With speeds up to 560 megahertz (MHz) and 256MB DDR3 graphic memory, it combines the performance and reliability required to power today's advanced 3D video games. Support for High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) enables users to display HD movies and extreme gaming on HDTVs. It features dual-link DVI, HDMI and TV-Out connectors and makes use of the SiI1930 HDMI transmitter chip to combine HD video and audio output on a single cable.
Built for graphics card applications using a discrete Graphics Processor Unit (GPU), the SiI1930 features a Transition-Minimized Differential Signaling (TMDS) interface to the GPU. The SiI1930 offers an HDMI output capable of supporting video resolutions up to UXGA and 1080p with up to eight channels of 192 kHz audio.
