 NVidia Goes 80nm With the G73-B1 in September: report

Message Text: Citing unknown sources, the HKEPC hardware website reports that the first NVidia 80nm chip is coming in September.

Codenamed G73-B1, the new graphics core is a mainstream product manufactured by TSMC, and it is expected to take on ATI?s upcoming Radeon X1650 family of graphics cards.

Nvidia was not immediately available to comment on the story.

The new chip is claimed to come in two variants; the G73-N-B1 and the G73-H-B1. According to the report, the G73-N-B1 is pin compatible to current P345 PCBs. The chip also features HDMI and HDCP support.

The new G73-B1 will be available to OEM market.
