Message Text: ViewSonic has designed its latest widescreen LCD TVs with an array of built-in features to ensure the displays stay current in living rooms and home theaters despite rapidly evolving broadcast formats and equipment standards.

By offering compatibility with HDMI video connections--the most future-ready input on the market--as well as support for the new HDCP copyright protection format, the 27-inch N2751w and 32-inch N3251w will continue to provide the highest quality digital signals for years to come.

"While analog component video is currently the most prevalent input connection for high-end video, HDMI is rapidly becoming the preferred technology for connecting high definition video and audio devices," said Jeff Volpe, vice president of marketing, ViewSonic Americas. "By equipping our displays with high-end features and advanced input options, ViewSonic is ensuring that its TVs are compatible with digital HDTV over-the-air broadcasts, HDTV cable and satellite set-top-boxes, media center PCs and the new format HD DVD-players."

In addition to offering longevity, the N2751w and N3251w deliver high-definition 1366x768 video resolutions, 8 millisecond video response times, 1000:1 contrast ratios and widescreen 16:9 aspect ratios, key ingredients for delivering a supreme front of screen experience. The LCD TVs, available for estimated street prices (ESPs) of $799 and $999 respectively, also support the commonly-used DVI/HDCP digital connection format when used with a HDMI-to-DVI adapter, as well as traditional TV inputs such as S-video, component video (YPbPr) and composite video to connect older DVDs, VCRs and game consoles. Both displays feature VGA connections, allowing users to view high-definition video content from computers.

To ensure uninterrupted viewing of over-the-air programming as content providers transition to digital broadcasts, ViewSonic's N2751w and N3251w are equipped with integrated digital (ATSC) tuners, allowing consumers to view digital programming, such as over-the-air HD broadcasts, without purchasing or renting an external tuner. Other key features include 2x10W Dolby audio and SPDIF output connections to maintain top-quality digital sound while connecting to an external 5.1/7.1 surround sound audio system.

Delivering on its commitment to provide a diverse range of products for both consumer and commercial customers, ViewSonic also announced the availability of its N2011 LCD TV, a low-cost flat screen TV targeting corporate and retail markets that require affordable upgrades for outdated CRT devices. At an ESP of $399, the N2011 features a 12 millisecond LCD panel response time, and can display digital video signals in 480p, making it an ideal match for progressive-scan DVD players.

The N2751w, N3251w, and N2011 are available now through authorized ViewSonic retailers and resellers. The displays are backed by a one-year limited warranty on parts, labor and backlight and are eligible for ViewSonic's optional Express Exchange(R) program, which guarantees a replacement monitor within 48 hours, where service is available. An optional two-year extended warranty is also available. ViewSonic offers toll-free technical support, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, excluding major U.S. holidays.
