Mushkin announced the addition of the XP-650 to its product lineup.
The PX-650 promises quiet and stable operation regardless the usage pattern. The power supply (650W cont./700W peak) has a combined 12V rail of 44A, which is considered as more than enough to support the power-demanding multi-GPU platforms such as the Nvidia's SLI and ATI's CrossFire. The XP-650 has four separate 12V rails all of which can be combined to form a single power rail thanks to what Mushkin is calling RailFusion Technology.
Mushkin is making its debut in the market of Power Supply Units with the XP-650, and promises top reliability for the demanding multi-GPU systems. The company had been primarily focusing on DDR2 memory units. A series of high-performance PSUs will closely folow the launch of the PX-650, later this year.
