Message Text: Sony's new Cybershot DSC-H5 features a 12x optical zoom, 7.2MP, Optical Stabilizer, a 3" screen and ISO values up to 1000. It will go on sale in Japan on May 19th.

This is Sony's second camera in the company's H-series to come equipped with a 12x optical zoom and "Super SteadyShot" optical image stabilization and a 3-inch LCD display. The new camera also uses Carl Zeiss lens.

The new 7.2-megapixel H5 features an ergonomic profile and its light body has been slimmed down to a very manageable 406g. Coupled with the Sony "Super SteadyShot" optical image stabilization, there will be less concern of unwanted blurring from zooming with an unsteady pair of hands.

Furthermore, with a high ISO 1000 sensor sensitivity that surpasses those offered by digital compacts, the H5 would have an added advantage of being able to capture clearer pictures in low lighting conditions.

The Cybershot DSC-H5 that is due to retail in Japan on May 19th.
