Message Text: Apple released the v10.4.6 updated version of its "Tiger" OS X.

The Mac OS X 10.4.6 Update (delta) updates Mac OS X 10.4.5 to version 10.4.6 on both Intel-based Macs and PowerPC-based Macs. (If you are updating from Mac OS X 10.4, 10.4.1, 10.4.2, 10.4.3, or 10.4.4 to 10.4.6, see this article instead.)

If you use iSync, you should perform a full sync with your devices before installing this update. Mac OS X 10.4.6 Update includes a later version of iSync with several improvements.

With the Mac OS X 10.4.6 system software update, PowerPC-based Macs will restart twice, instead of once, after the initial installation.

A full least of the improvements available for this update visit http://docs.info.apple.com.

Mac OS X 10.4.6 is delivered via the OS' Software Update system, but is also available from Apple's website in two forms: one to update Mac OS X 10.4.5 and another to update any version of the operating system from 10.4.0 upwards. Intel and PowerPC versions are available of each of these, and there are equivalent updates for Mac OS X Server. Each version incorporates all the most recent Mac OS X security updates.

The updates are available here.
