Message Text: I-O Data will put three new 12x DVD-RAM DVD urners in the Japanese market in the middle of March, based on the NEC ND-3570 hardware design.

The Japanese company will release two ATAPI drives in both black and white bezel versions, as well as an external USB 2.0 drive.

The drives support recording of DVD±R at 16x, 8x for DVD±R DL, 8x for DVD+RW, 6x for DVD-RW, 48x for CD-R and 32x for CD-RW.

The new DVD burners are an alternative and more affordable solution for recording at 12x on DVD-RAM media, compared to the corresponding 12x models announced last month, based on the HLDS technology and specifically on the GSA-H10N DVD burner. The HLDS-based drives additionally offer a 10x recording speed for DVD+R DL, which would mean a faster DVD+R DL recording by a few seconds, compared to the 8x speed.
