Message Text: ATI Technologies is introducing a single chip, DVB-H compliant, Mobile TV Receiver solution for mobile phones and other handheld devices.

The WTV100-M is a single chip front-end that integrates a dual-band RF tuner (UHF for Europe and L-Band for US) with a highly integrated DVB-T/DVB-H OFDM demodulator and all necessary discretes in a SiP (System-in-Package).

The WTV100-M component interfaces to ATI's Imageon media processors, as the audio and video decoders, for a complete DVB-H solution.

The WTV100 demodulator can handle simultaneous processing of multiple services, multiple DRM solutions and integrates in hardware a decoder for Multi-Protocol-Encapsulator Forward-Error-Correction (MPE-FEC) and its memory.

ATI's Imageon TV come complete with a DVB-CBMS Phase 1 compliant software stack, which includes the User Interface (UI), Electronic Service Guide (ESG), middleware, APIs to most applicable DRM solutions, and a full SDK.

ATI's WTV solutions have been tested and validated in both UHF and L-band field trials held with partner broadcasters in Europe and the US throughout 2005.

The WTV100-M will be shipping to customers in mid 2006 with samples and design kits available now.
