 ATI Licenses Analogix HDMI Technology

Message Text: ATI announced on Monday that it has licensed Analogix Semiconductor?s HDMI receiver technology.

HDMI, or high-definition multimedia interface, is the standard for transmitting digital television audiovisual signals from DVD players, set-top boxes and other audiovisual sources to television sets, projectors and other video displays.

Canada-based ATI said the technology will complement its digital television products.Details of the deal, including financials and length of contract, were not disclosed.
