Message Text: BenQ announced its product line-up for this year's International Consumer Electronics Show (CES(R)), Jan. 5-8, that highlights the convergence of technology and entertainment.

The line-up includes a wide range of high-value, innovative consumer electronics products that showcase the digital lifestyle and deliver "enjoyment in a connected world."

From digital cameras and wireless digital projectors to LCD televisions and DVD recorders, BenQ's latest products work seamlessly together to deliver the promise of integrating various lifestyle devices to create a single, unified electronic environment.

The prevailing theme of this year's exhibit at CES 2006 is highlighting BenQ's longtime vision to make the convergence of technology and entertainment a reality. With BenQ products, consumers can share movies, music or photos on a PC or home audio/video system, or use Bluetooth and memory card technology to connect electronic devices. The entire BenQ line-up of products has been designed to enhance enjoyment of technology and share information with anyone, anywhere, at anytime.

New Product Highlights:

-- LCD TVs - BenQ will expand its leading portfolio of LCD TVs with a new value line that offers two new entry-level models. Also, a new high-performance 42-inch model will be added to the Prestige line for consumers who want extraordinary high-definition (HD) picture quality. From the space-saving 20-inch model to a home theater enthusiast's dream screen of 46 inches, BenQ's overall line of LCD TVs provides a variety of choices, sizes and options.

-- LCD Monitors - From the "all-white" design of the FP93V that won the prestigious 2006 CES Technology is a Girl's Best Friend (TechGirl) Diamond Product Showcase to a "family friendly" model to the world's fastest 20-inch widescreen LCD monitor, BenQ's award-winning line of LCD monitors combine the best in style and feature sets with innovative designs and the latest technological advances.

-- Digital Projectors - Featuring the world's smallest and lightest micro-portable digital projector with built-in wireless capability and a best-in-class home cinema projector that offers an ultra-high 10000:1 contrast ratio, BenQ provides a wide range of home theater and data projectors that are light, bright and provide amazing picture quality.

-- Digital Cameras - BenQ's new high-performance, ultra-slim digital cameras include the world's smallest 6-megapixel digital camera line as well as a new 8-megapixel model with an advanced OLED screen. The three new digital cameras offer an ultra-slim, compact design and versatile feature set, and are ideal for consumers seeking a high-quality multi-function digital camera at an affordable price.

-- Optical Storage - With two new external, slim-line drives that feature a double-layer recording capability, BenQ's latest models continue to set the standard for the best in technological advancement.

-- Keyboards/Mice - BenQ's high-performance keyboards and mice continue to raise the bar for stylish, technologically advanced input devices. All three of the new keyboards offer a slim profile that includes BenQ's proprietary X-structure key technology for enhanced key stability and reduced typing noise. All of the new mice provide plug-and-play wireless or USB connectivity, and are ideal for laptop computer use.

-- Media - BenQ's new line of media includes both CDR LightScribe and DVDR products. The maximum-speed 52x CDR LightScribe media supports the LightScribe direct-disc-labeling technology that burns text and graphics on the surface of the CD, while the DVDR media comes in three variations: DVD+R versions of both the designer (with imprinted designs on the disc) and BenQ-branded discs.

-- Senseye Technology - Launched at last year's CES, BenQ's proprietary "Senseye" digital enhancement technology automatically and dynamically improves image quality, adjusts brightness and darkness levels, performs color-mapping procedures, and reduces jagged edges on images.
