Message Text: Corsair's new XMS-4000PT 2GB memory kit promises high memory density and performance at affordable prices.

Available in both 1GB single and 2GB kit packages, the XMS-4000PT is guaranteed to run at 500MHz at 3-4-4-8-1T, according to Corsair. The kit provides significant headroom for overclocking, and aims to deliver maximum Front Side Bus (FSB) frequency without excessive voltage requirements.

"We believe the TWINX2048-4000PT provides solid performance at a very aggressive price," noted John Beekley, VP of Applications Engineering at Corsair. "These specially screened two gigabyte memory pairs provide a great price/performance solution for current Athlon 64 based enthusiast platforms."

The XMS-4000PT is currently available through Corsair's worldwide authorized distributors, resellers, retailers, and e-tailers. The introductory MSRP for a 2GB matched pair is $281 USD. The Corsair part number are TWINX2048-4000PT (matched pair) and CMX1024-4000PT (single).
