Message Text: Panasonic has released a new series of HDD DVD recorders equipped with a built-in tuner able to receive terrestrial, BS, and 110-degree CS digital broadcasting.

The new model "DMR-EX200V" is integrated with a VHS VTR. The recording capacity of the HDD is 250 GB. The company will put the DMR-EX200V on the market on November 10, 2005.

DMR-EX200V is the first digital broadcasting compatible HDD DVD recorder integrated with a VTR. With favorable sales of the VTR integrated HDD DVD recorders, the company decided to add this new model to the lineup. Although only the analog broadcasting is directly recordable to VHS tapes, digital broadcasting HDTV programs recorded in the HDD can also be copied to VHS tapes by lowering screen resolution. In addition, the new model includes a voice guidance function to facilitate the initial settings such as the channel setting. As for the analog broadcasting compatible models, Matsushita released an HDD DVD recorder integrated with a VTR "DRM-EH73V" as well as HDD DVD recorders "DRM-EH66" and "DRM-EH53."
