Message Text: Kingston expands its DataTraveler Elite USB product line with a new 4-GB version.

The DataTraveler Elite features a combination of hardware and software-based security that gives sophisticated access control and encrypted data protection. DataTraveler Elite's TravelerSafe+ software lets users set password access control for a private data storage area that utilizes 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) hardware-based encryption. When a DataTraveler Elite is removed from a system, all threads to the information are terminated and if ever lost, the advanced hardware encryption system protects the data against unauthorized access.

The USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface offers data transfer rates of up to 24 MB/sec. read and 14 MB/sec.



Topping the DataTraveler Elite product line, the new 4-GB DataTraveler, Kingston part #: KUSBDTE/4GB, is shipping immediately and will have an MSRP of $399.00.
