Smart Buy will present a new series of Hard Coat DVD-R media, which offer scratch resistance, anti-static and waterproof features.
The Hard Coat DVD-R discs will be showcased at Computex, Taipei 2005. According to the company, the basic features of the new discs include:
- Scratch resistance: it offers protection against scratches caused by mishandling or excessive wiping.
- Dirt resistance: it easily wipes up the smudges, inks and other contaminants.
- Anti-static: This feature repels dust accumulation and improved the disc's reliability.
- Waterproof: it easier to wipes off accidental food and beverage spills without damaging the disc surface.
- Data Capacity: 4.7GB
- Video Capacity: 120 min
- Speed: 1-8X/1-16X
