Message Text: Acer's new TravelMate 300 Ultra-Portable notebook features a 12.1" screen and has plenty of power and is available at a very reasonable price.

The Acer TravelMate 3000 notebook, offers up to an Intel Pentium M Processor 740 running on the latest Intel 915GM Express chipset and a 533MZz Front System Bus. The newest Acer notebook also features PCI Express, a 12.1" WXGA display, 512 MB of DDR II upgradeable to 2048MB, and an integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 video adapter with up to 128MB of dedicated DDR video memory. In addition to wireless 802.11b/g and Bluetooth support, the TravelMate offers 3 USB 2.0 ports, an IEEE 1394 port, 10/100/1000 LAN connection, and a 56K V.92 modem.

This one-spindled notebook incorporates up to a 60GB hard drive as well as a CDRW/DVD combo drive. TravelMate 3000 series notebooks offer a 4-in-1 PCMCIA Multimedia reader, built-in SmartCard Reader and a port replicator option. Preloaded with Microsoft Windows XP Professional, and weighing just over three pounds, the TravelMate 3000 provides the freedom and flexibility for mobile users combined with desktop-level performance.
