EZQuest Inc. today announced the delivery of its new Boa FireWire DVD-RW drive. The drive carries a suggested retail price of US$995, and is available from authorized EZQuest resellers worldwide.
The Boa DVD-RW can burn DVD-R, DVD-RW, CD-R and CD-RW discs, and can also read DVD-Video, DVD-ROM and DVD-R formats. It can also read CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-Audio, CD-RW, CD-I, CD Bridge, CD Extended, CD Mix Mode and Photo CD formats.
The Boa DVD-RW utilizes Pioneer's DVR-A03 mechanism, which is the aftermarket version of the same drive Apple offers in its Power Mac G4/733 configuration. As such, the Boa DVD-RW is supported by the 1.1 update available for Apple's DVD Studio Pro mastering software. (See Apple's Web site for more information.
The Boa FireWire DVD-RW drive ships in Mac and PC versions. The Mac version ships with Roxio Toast 5.0.1 for DVD and CD burning and includes one 6-pin FireWire cable and one DVD-R disc. |
