 Sapphire pushes limits with 512MB X800XL

Message Text: Sapphire Technology Limited, has just announced that it will soon release additional versions of its highly acclaimed Radeon X800XL series of graphics accelerators populated with 512MB of on-board memory.

Building on Sapphire's reputation for special edition graphics cards, the new Sapphire X800XL 512 models will appeal to PC gamers and developers looking for faster and smoother solutions when running high defi nition graphics and special effects in the higher resolutions demanded today.

The Sapphire X800XL 512 features the same X16 lane native PCI-Express graphics technology with 16 parallel pixel pipelines and six programmable vertex shader pipelines as used in other successful models in the X800XL series. The X800XL 512 is equipped with dual DVI outputs as well as Video inputs and outputs (VIVO) and supports simultaneous dual display.

Equipped with 512MB of GDDR3 memory the Sapphire Ultimate X800XL 512 can be performance tuned with the new TRIXX overclocking tool supplied. The exact software bundle will depend on the specifi c model, but will include a choice of games from the new Sapphire Select DVD as well as DVD and video editing software.
