Message Text: Microsoft Watch has an interesting look at Redmond's 64-bit application migration roadmap.

The roadmap reveals plenty of action for x64. x64 flavors of SQL Server 2005 and Visual Studio 2005 will apparently come out in the first half of this year, suggesting that Windows Server and XP Pro for x64 will be available soon. Unsurprisingly, it looks like Microsoft will be devoting much of its 64-bit efforts to x64 rather than Itanium versions of its server software and applications. For more information visit Microsoft Watch.
